Supply of Specialist Materials (EWNI) DPS

Live

Framework Description

The Supply of Specialist Materials (EWNI) DPS is a Procurement for Housing Dynamic Purchasing System for specialist construction materials in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It has six lots: roofing materials, glazing, ironmongery, joinery materials and timber, flooring materials, and other specialist materials. The DPS runs until 2 January 2029 and accepts new suppliers throughout its term.

Context & Use Case

Housing associations and other public bodies use it to buy materials for construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects. Each requirement is competed among the suppliers admitted to the relevant lot, so buyers get project-specific pricing on items such as roofing products, glazing or timber rather than relying on a fixed catalogue agreed years earlier.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Roofing materials and associated products Lot 2: Glazing and associated products Lot 3: Ironmongery Lot 4: Joinery materials, timber and associated products Lot 5: Flooring materials and associated products Lot 6: Other specialist materials

Lots

Lot 1 Roofing materials and associated products; Lot 2 Glazing and associated products; Lot 3 Ironmongery; Lot 4 Joinery materials, timber and associated products; Lot 5 Flooring materials and associated products; Lot 6 Other specialist materials

Who Can Apply

Open to manufacturers, distributors and specialist merchants of roofing, glazing, ironmongery, joinery, timber and flooring products, as well as niche material suppliers that fit Lot 6. As a live DPS, it accepts applications at any time, so SMEs can join now alongside larger suppliers.

Buyer Benefits

Competing each requirement among admitted suppliers gives buyers current prices rather than rates fixed years earlier. New suppliers and products keep entering, which matters when material specifications change between projects, and a lot for other specialist materials catches items that do not fit the main categories.

Next Steps

Choose the lots that match your product range and apply through Procurement for Housing (procurementforhousing.co.uk). Have product certifications, insurance and financial information ready, and be clear about your delivery coverage across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Once admitted, respond to competitions promptly; the DPS closes on 2 January 2029.

How Athena Can Help

Most of the work in a DPS application is in the selection questions and evidence. Athena's application service for DPSs chooses the right lots for your range, prepares certificates and policies, and checks compliance before you submit.

After admission, Athena's pricing models help you win materials competitions on cost without eroding margin. Our public sector bid consultants can also widen your pipeline beyond PfH, deciding which other public buyers are worth bidding to.
