Framework Description
Technology Peripherals and Infrastructure (SP-21-012) is a Scottish Government national framework for IT peripherals, audio-visual, print, networking, server and storage equipment. It re-lets the previous IT peripherals framework and runs from 16 May 2022 to 15 August 2027. Lot 1 is an IT equipment catalogue supplied by Computacenter; Lot 2, for complex infrastructure projects, has four suppliers. This framework is used by Scottish Government and APUC.
Context & Use Case
Buyers across the Scottish public and third sectors use Lot 1 to order standard equipment from a catalogue, and Lot 2 to run further competitions among Computacenter, Insight Direct, Softcat and XMA for complex infrastructure such as server, storage and network projects. All deployment services for the listed product groups are in scope.
Scope of Services

Who Can Apply
It suits IT resellers and infrastructure integrators with Scottish delivery capability. Applications are closed, with Computacenter on Lot 1 and four suppliers on Lot 2, so others must wait for the re-tender, which is likely to be around 15 August 2027.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get market-leading catalogue prices and simple ordering for routine equipment, plus competition among four integrators for bigger projects. Consolidated orders and deliveries cut emissions and transaction costs, and suppliers commit to the real Living Wage and community benefits, alongside energy-efficient products.
Next Steps
IT resellers wanting a place should prepare for the re-tender before 15 August 2027, deciding whether to target the catalogue lot, the complex projects lot or both. Gather infrastructure project case studies, catalogue pricing capability, environmental and energy efficiency evidence and Scottish community benefit commitments, and check the Scottish Government's framework page for news of the replacement.
How Athena Can Help
Lot 2 suppliers win work through further competitions, and Athena's infrastructure bid writing helps them present design, delivery and pricing for each project in a way evaluators can score, with a compliance check on every submission.
For resellers aiming at the 2027 re-tender, our lot selection and application service works out which lot suits you and writes the submission, and our public sector ICT bidding support covers standalone infrastructure tenders from councils, colleges and health boards in the meantime.
