Who Can Apply
Licensed water retailers in the Scottish non-household market are the firms suited to this framework, and applications are closed, with Business Stream as supplier. Retailers interested in this business should prepare for the re-procurement, likely to be around 31 March 2028.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get annual cost avoidance savings, free AMR loggers and tools to cut water use and the associated CO2. A water efficiency fund, benchmarking and dedicated account management help estates teams act on the data, and community benefits include apprenticeships, STEM outreach and paid work experience.
Next Steps
Licensed retailers should plan for the re-procurement ahead of 31 March 2028: gather evidence on AMR, leak detection, water efficiency savings, account management for multi-site public bodies and Scottish community benefits, and watch Public Contracts Scotland for notices. Water efficiency and leak detection firms could approach Business Stream about delivery partnerships.
