Architect Consultancy Services Framework

Live

Framework Description

Sovereign Network Group's Architects Consultancy Services Framework appoints architects to two lots, Masterplanning and Housing. SNG set it up for up to 30 practices, six on Lot 1 and 24 on Lot 2, covering its West, South and London & East regions and adjacent counties. The award notice was published on 25 September 2026, and the framework runs until 30 September 2030.

Context & Use Case

SNG and its subsidiaries, joint ventures and special purpose vehicles use the framework to appoint architects for development work: masterplanning on Lot 1 and housing design on Lot 2. Call-offs are usually mini-competitions based on a synopsis of each requirement, with direct award reserved for exceptional circumstances, and appointment carries no guarantee of work.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Masterplanning architects (up to six suppliers) Lot 2: Housing architects (up to 24 suppliers) Coverage: West, South and London & East regions, including adjacent counties

Lots

Lot 1 - Masterplanning; Lot 2 - Housing

Who Can Apply

Suits architectural practices with masterplanning or residential design experience for housing associations; SNG said it wanted to encourage SMEs. The framework has now been awarded, so practices that were not appointed cannot join it until SNG re-tenders, likely around 30 September 2030.

Buyer Benefits

A framework gives SNG pre-agreed terms with a set of architects who understand its design standards, so it can commission work quickly as schemes come forward. Separating masterplanning from housing design lets it match the right practice to each stage of development.

Next Steps

Appointed practices should get ready for SNG's mini-competitions, keeping scheme case studies, team CVs and fee approaches to hand so each synopsis can be answered quickly. Practices that were not appointed should read the award notice on Find a Tender, follow how SNG uses the framework, and build housing and masterplanning evidence ahead of the re-tender expected around 2030.

How Athena Can Help

With mini-competition the normal call-off route, appointed architects compete for every SNG commission. Athena's bid writing for architects turns your portfolio into criteria-led answers, and our fee and pricing advice helps you price design work to win while keeping a margin.

If you missed this round, our framework planning service builds a pipeline of other housing association consultancy frameworks that are open or due to open, so SNG's next re-tender is one of several routes rather than your only one.
