Audio Visual : System Design/Consultancy, Supplies, Installation and Maintenance

Live

Framework Description

SUPC's Audio Visual framework covers system design, consultancy, supplies, installation and maintenance for member universities. It has three lots: AV systems with regional coverage, AV systems with national coverage, and AV consultancy, with 17 suppliers appointed. The agreement started on 1 October 2024 and runs until 30 September 2027, with no extension.

Context & Use Case

Universities invest heavily in AV for lecture theatres, meeting rooms, broadcast facilities and event spaces. They can appoint an independent consultant to design a scheme, then run a mini-competition among integrators in the regional lot, which covers up to five of the seven regions, or the national lot for multi-campus or larger projects.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: AV systems, regional coverage (up to five regions) Lot 2: AV systems, national coverage (all seven regions) Lot 3: AV consultancy Design, supply, installation and maintenance

Lots

Audio Visual Systems: Regional Coverage; Audio Visual Systems: National Coverage; Consultancy

Who Can Apply

Suits AV integrators with manufacturer accreditations and higher education experience, and independent AV consultancies. Applications for this framework are closed. It ends on 30 September 2027, so integrators and consultants outside it should prepare for the re-tender over the next year.

Buyer Benefits

Members can take independent design advice before committing to an installation, which helps them judge integrator proposals. Regional integrators offer local support, national suppliers suit multi-campus estates, and having maintenance in scope means systems keep working after handover rather than becoming a separate contract.

Next Steps

Appointed integrators should prepare for mini-competitions with case studies of teaching spaces, meeting rooms and broadcast facilities. Others should prepare for the re-tender before 30 September 2027: decide on regional or national coverage, gather manufacturer accreditations and university project references, and watch SUPC and Find a Tender.

How Athena Can Help

AV mini-competitions are often won on design understanding and support. Athena's bid managers build win themes around both, and competitor analysis shows how your score compares with other integrators.

Ahead of the 2027 re-tender, our bid and lot strategy advice helps you choose between the regional and national lots, and Athena's application support for frameworks manages the selection questions and evidence through to submission, with a compliance check at the end.
