Desktop & Notebook (NDNA)

Live

Framework Description

The National Desktop & Notebook Agreement (NDNA), let by LUPC (London Universities Purchasing Consortium), is a national agreement for universities buying PCs, laptops and tablets from manufacturers and resellers. It has three lots: desktop and workstation PCs; notebooks, tablets, hybrids and mobile workstations; and a one-stop shop covering both. It runs until 31 August 2027 with no extension. This framework is used by SUPC and APUC.

Context & Use Case

University IT teams use it for device refreshes, staff and student laptop provision, and high-specification workstations for research and engineering. They can buy desktops and notebooks under separate lots or use the one-stop-shop lot to source a mixed estate from a single supplier, with accessories and warranty services added to the order.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Desktop and workstation PCs Lot 2: Notebook, tablet, hybrid and mobile workstation PCs Lot 3: Desktop and notebook one-stop shop Accessories and warranty services

Lots

Lot 1 Desktop and Workstation PCs; Lot 2 Notebook, Tablet, Hybrid and Mobile Workstation PCs; Lot 3 Desktop and Notebook One Stop Shop

Who Can Apply

Suits PC manufacturers and IT resellers able to supply at volume, with warranty and support arrangements. Applications for this framework are closed. It ends on 31 August 2027, so suppliers outside it should prepare for the re-tender and decide whether to target a device lot or the one-stop shop.

Buyer Benefits

Pricing aggregated across many universities gives buyers better device costs than they could negotiate alone, and the lot structure lets them buy from a specialist or consolidate all devices with one supplier. Warranty services in scope reduce the support burden on IT teams after deployment.

Next Steps

Appointed suppliers should prepare for refresh mini-competitions with clear pricing on devices, warranty and accessories. Others should prepare for the re-tender ahead of 31 August 2027: pick the lots that match your manufacturer relationships, gather education references and supply chain evidence, and watch LUPC and Find a Tender for notices.

How Athena Can Help

Device frameworks are fought out on price, so the quality answers have to earn every mark. Athena's competitive bid writing covers delivery, warranty and sustainability answers, while our pricing analysis shows how sharp you can afford to be on each device lot.

Before the re-tender, Athena's lot selection advice weighs Lot 1, Lot 2 and the one-stop shop against your supply chain, and our framework registration experts prepare and compliance-check the submission.
