Domiciliary Care Framework For Children And Young People Aged Between 0 25

Coming soon

Framework Description

Swindon Borough Council is establishing a domiciliary care framework for children and young people aged 0 to 25, providing care and support at home and in the community. It covers complex care, health and support needs across that age range, including young people moving into adulthood, and spans both health and social care provision.

Context & Use Case

The Council will use it to keep children and young people with complex needs supported within their families and communities, coordinating care with health partners. Because it runs to age 25, the same arrangement can support a young person through the move into adult services, which helps continuity of care at a vulnerable point.

Scope of Services

Who Can Apply

Suits CQC-registered domiciliary care providers with experience of children and young people, including complex health needs and transition planning, and staff skilled in paediatric care. The framework is not yet in place, so providers should prepare to bid when the tender is published.

Buyer Benefits

One framework covering ages 0 to 25 gives continuity through the transition to adulthood and lets health and social care commission together. Pre-qualified providers give families quicker access to care and give the Council confidence in safeguarding, clinical skills and reliability.

Next Steps

Watch Swindon Borough Council's procurement notices for the tender, and check that any listing you use refers to the 0 to 25 children's framework. Prepare CQC registration and ratings, paediatric and complex care training records, safeguarding policies, and case studies of transition support and multi-agency working with families.
