Framework Description
ESPO framework 410_28 will cover the supply and delivery of office, leisure and residential furniture direct to individual customers. ESPO, a trading department of Leicestershire County Council, published a pipeline notice in May 2026. It will be a national, non-catalogue framework with an estimated value of £4 million including VAT, running from 1 April 2028 to 31 March 2030, with a possible extension to 31 March 2032.
Context & Use Case
Schools, councils and other ESPO customers across the UK will call off directly from the framework when they need furniture for offices, leisure facilities or residential settings, with suppliers delivering straight to each customer rather than through ESPO's catalogue. ESPO estimates it will publish the tender notice on 3 September 2027, so the procurement is still at pipeline stage.

Who Can Apply
Furniture manufacturers and distributors able to deliver direct to customers across the UK, in office, leisure or residential ranges, should plan to bid. ESPO flags the opportunity as particularly suitable for SMEs. As a new framework, places will be won through the tender expected from September 2027.
Buyer Benefits
Buying direct from a framework supplier, rather than from a catalogue range, lets customers order furniture to suit their site and have it delivered straight to them. ESPO's national reach and pre-tendered terms spare schools and councils from running their own furniture procurements.
