United Utilities Water Limited

Services Framework DNM Linear Monitor Installs

Coming soon

Framework Description

United Utilities Water Limited is procuring a services framework to appoint one or more end-to-end delivery partners for its DNM linear monitor installs programme. Partners will install around 15,000 battery-powered level monitors across the wastewater network over three years, phased through the AMP8 period. An initial trial may be used to prove the delivery approach and key performance measures before full rollout.

Context & Use Case

The monitors give United Utilities real-time level data from its wastewater network to support operational decisions. The appointed partner will handle everything from survey to maintenance, integrate the new devices with existing telemetry systems and data platforms, and manage approved subcontractors, so United Utilities deals with a single delivery model rather than coordinating many installers.

Scope of Services

Site survey and assessment Hardware procurement and supply Installation, including metadata capture Data acquisition and integration with existing telemetry Fleet performance reporting Proactive and reactive maintenance, calibration and performance management Equipment certified to IP68 and ATEX/IECEx

Who Can Apply

Suits telemetry and instrumentation integrators, utility service contractors and monitoring specialists who can deliver at scale, alone or with partners. The framework has not been awarded, so firms get on by bidding in the forthcoming procurement; delivery partners will manage their own approved subcontractors.

Buyer Benefits

A single partner accountable from survey through to data and maintenance cuts interfaces and lets United Utilities measure performance across the whole fleet of monitors. A trial phase reduces risk before 15,000 installs, and certified equipment and integrated data support compliance on the wastewater network.

Next Steps

Check procurement ocds-h6vhtk-077b8b on Find a Tender for the notice and timetable. Decide whether you can deliver end to end or need partners for hardware, installation or data integration. Gather evidence of large telemetry rollouts, IP68 and ATEX/IECEx certified equipment, and a plan for a trial phase followed by phased deployment.

How Athena Can Help

An end-to-end bid for 15,000 installs needs a clear delivery story and a price that holds up over three years. Athena's bid managers for utility programmes plan the response, build win themes on trial performance and data integration, and model pricing for the phased rollout.

Our teaming and bid/no-bid advice helps you decide whether to lead or partner, and our utility framework pipeline highlights other AMP8 frameworks to target. We also run a compliance check on certification evidence before submission.
