Purcon 5069 Coach And Minibus Framework

Live

Framework Description

The University of East Anglia's Purcon 5069 framework appoints several operators to provide coach and minibus transport for students, staff and visitors. It is split into three lots covering coach hire in various capacities, minibus hire with driver, and local, regional and national trips. The contract award notice (UK6) was published on 22 July 2026.

Context & Use Case

UEA uses the framework for local, regional and national passenger transport for its students, staff and visitors. The framework covers one-way and return trips, both short-notice and pre-booked, so staff can book suitable vehicles from appointed operators rather than sourcing quotes each time. Departments can pick the lot that fits each trip, from a small minibus group to a full coach.

Scope of Services

Coach hire in various capacities Minibus hire with driver Local, regional and national trips One-way and return trips Short-notice and pre-booked services

Lots

3 lots covering coach hire (various capacities), minibus hire with driver, local/regional/national journeys

Who Can Apply

Suits coach and minibus operators with licensed drivers and vehicles of different sizes, including smaller firms with a minibus or two. The framework has been awarded and applications are closed, so new operators cannot join until UEA re-tenders it.

Buyer Benefits

University teams can book reliable transport quickly from vetted operators, including at short notice. Several operators across three lots give UEA choice of vehicle size and price, and pre-agreed standards on safety and insurance protect students and staff. Buyers also want clear booking processes and quick confirmation for each trip.

Next Steps

Appointed operators should make sure UEA departments know how to book them and keep vehicle and driver records current. Others should check procurement ocds-h6vhtk-05e8a0 on Find a Tender for the term, build references with schools and other universities, and prepare for the next UEA procurement.
