Framework Description
The University of Strathclyde is procuring a Mechanical & Public Health Framework (MPHF) for 2026 to 2030. It will cover maintenance, repair and installation of mechanical and public health systems across the university's buildings and infrastructure. A prior information notice has been published, with the formal procurement to follow. The framework will run for four years.
Context & Use Case
Strathclyde's campus depends on mechanical and public health systems that need regular maintenance, reactive repairs and new installations. The framework will let its estates team call on appointed contractors for this work over the four-year term, rather than tendering each job, and keep campus buildings running for teaching and research.

Who Can Apply
Suits mechanical and public health contractors with experience in large or complex buildings, especially universities. The framework is at the pre-tender stage, so contractors get on by bidding when the university publishes the tender.
Buyer Benefits
A framework gives the university reliable contractors who know its campus systems, quicker response to faults and consistent pricing over four years. Buyers will value contractors who can work around teaching and research with minimal disruption. Buyers also value contractors with strong water hygiene and safety records.
Next Steps
Read the prior information notice (033972-2026 on Find a Tender) and set up alerts so you see the tender as soon as it is published. Prepare case studies of university or large building M&E work, accreditations and response time evidence, and plan your approach to maintenance and installation pricing.
