Framework Description
Washwood Heath Multi Academy Trust has a framework agreement for cleaning services across its seven schools: Brownmead Academy, Firs Primary School, Gossey Lane Academy, Saltley Academy, Tile Cross Academy, Topcliffe School and Washwood Heath Academy. Covering a combined 30,519 square metres, it is worth £2.75 million and runs from mid-August 2026 to 31 July 2029, with two 12-month extension options to 31 July 2031.
Context & Use Case
The trust wanted one consistent cleaning standard across schools of different sizes and phases. The provider delivers daily term-time cleaning and a deep clean during the holidays, and the agreement includes a mechanism to add schools that join the trust during the initial term without a new competition, so the contract can grow with the trust.
Scope of Services
Daily term-time cleaning, Monday to Friday, across seven schools Four weeks of deep cleaning each year outside term time Waste management and site care Addition of new schools joining the trust

Who Can Apply
Suits commercial cleaning contractors experienced in multi-site school contracts. The framework has been awarded and applications are closed, so other contractors cannot join until the trust re-tenders, likely around July 2029 or July 2031 if both extensions are used.
Buyer Benefits
A single provider across all seven schools gives the trust one standard, one contract to manage and one point of contact when problems arise. Building in growth for new schools avoids repeat procurement as the trust expands, and a planned deep-clean window keeps buildings ready for each new term.
Next Steps
Contractors interested in the next round should build multi-site education cleaning references, with evidence of quality audits, staff vetting and holiday deep-clean programmes. Plan for a re-tender ahead of 31 July 2029, or later if the trust uses its extensions, and watch tender listings such as The Construction Index (tender 35168) for the trust's next notice.
