West Northamptonshire Council Temporary Accommodation White Goods, Furniture And Services Framework

Coming soon

Framework Description

West Northamptonshire Council is putting in place a framework to supply its temporary accommodation with white goods, flooring and beds. It has three lots: provision and installation of white goods, provision and installation of carpets and flooring, and provision of beds and mattresses. The framework is due to start on 1 December 2026 and run until 30 November 2029, with an option to extend to 30 November 2030.

Context & Use Case

The council needs to furnish temporary accommodation quickly as housing pressure grows, so households move into homes with working appliances, flooring and beds. The framework gives its housing team suppliers ready to deliver and install, with up to three suppliers per lot for cover. Delivery and installation are included in the white goods and flooring lots.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Provision and installation of white goods Lot 2: Provision and installation of carpets and flooring Lot 3: Provision of beds and mattresses

Lots

Lot 1: The Provision and Installation of White Goods; Lot 2: The Provision and Installation of Carpets and Flooring; Lot 3: The Provision of Beds and Mattresses

Who Can Apply

Suits white goods, flooring and bed suppliers with delivery and installation capacity in Northamptonshire. Tenders closed on 30 September 2026, so new suppliers cannot join this round; the next opportunity will be the re-tender.

Buyer Benefits

The council can furnish properties quickly and consistently without separate purchases. Several suppliers per lot give resilience, and agreed prices help control costs across a growing temporary accommodation portfolio. Buyers also value suppliers who can deliver and install promptly so properties can be let without delay.

Next Steps

Suppliers who bid should watch Find a Tender (notice 083975-2026) for the award. Others should build council and housing references and prepare for the re-tender, likely ahead of 30 November 2029, or 30 November 2030 if the extension is used. Appointed suppliers should track call-off volumes to plan stock and installers.

How Athena Can Help

For suppliers who bid, the work starts once the framework begins in December. Athena's bid writers for suppliers can help you win call-offs with clear delivery and installation commitments, quick turnaround for empty properties and prices modelled to stay competitive against the other suppliers in your lot.
