Framework Description
West Northamptonshire Council's Nightly Purchased Temporary Accommodation dynamic purchasing system (DPS) is a route for securing well-managed, good-quality temporary accommodation rented on a nightly basis and managed by housing suppliers. Published under notice 013144-2024, it runs until 31 May 2029. As a DPS, it is open to new accommodation providers throughout its life.
Context & Use Case
The council has duties to provide temporary accommodation for homeless households, often at short notice. The DPS lets it build a pool of approved providers who can offer rooms or units when needed, with an emphasis on quality, value for money and improvement over time. Placements are often urgent and can happen at any time.

Who Can Apply
Suits accommodation providers, property managers and housing organisations with suitable properties in or near West Northamptonshire. As a Live DPS, providers can apply to join now until May 2029. Providers must meet the council's quality standards.
Buyer Benefits
The council can place households quickly with providers already checked for quality and management standards. A DPS lets it add providers when demand rises and drive improvement through competition and monitoring. Buyers also value providers who respond quickly and support residents well.
Next Steps
Read notice 013144-2024 on Find a Tender and apply for admission. Prepare details of your properties, management arrangements, safety certificates and how you look after residents. Once admitted, be ready to respond to placement requests quickly, and keep your certificates and property details up to date.
