Planned Building Maintenance And Minor Works Framework

Coming soon

Framework Description

Wolverhampton City Council is procuring a Planned Building Maintenance and Minor Works Framework (CWC25131) for capital repairs, maintenance and new build across its portfolio of around 1,897 public buildings and properties. Projects will range from £5,000 to £500,000 across four lots. The framework term is 21 September 2026 to 20 September 2030, with no extension.

Context & Use Case

The council's property and asset teams will use the framework for planned maintenance and smaller capital works across its estate. Lots split specialist trades from general building, and general building is split by project value so smaller contractors can compete for lower-value jobs while larger firms take projects up to £500,000.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: windows, glazing and associated doors Lot 2: roofing Lot 3: general building up to £50,000 Lot 4: general building from £50,001 to £500,000

Lots

Lot 1 - Window/Glazing & Associated Doors; Lot 2 - Roofing; Lot 3 - General Building up to £50,000; Lot 4 - General Building £50,001 to £500,000

Who Can Apply

Window and glazing installers, roofing contractors and general builders of all sizes. The tender closed on 3 August 2026, so contractors that did not bid cannot join this round and will need to prepare for the re-tender, likely around September 2030.

Buyer Benefits

The council gets contractors in place for planned work on a large estate without running separate tenders for each project. Value-banded general building lots give it access to small local builders for minor jobs, while trade lots for windows and roofing bring specialist skills to recurring work.

Next Steps

Bidders should watch Find a Tender for the award notice (the tender notice is 058567-2026) and prepare to mobilise. Successful contractors should plan for any call-off competitions. Others should note the 20 September 2030 end date, keep an eye on Wolverhampton City Council's other building works opportunities, and gather public sector case studies for the next procurement.

How Athena Can Help

If you are appointed, Athena's bid writing and pricing help can support call-off competitions with method statements, quality checks and competitive prices.

If you missed this tender, our construction bid support can review where previous bids lost marks, and our framework opportunity planning sets out which council building frameworks open next so you are ready for the 2030 re-tender. That plan covers the case studies, accreditations and policies you will need, so the next bid starts from a stronger position.
