Positive Behaviour Support Supported Living Services in Herefordshire & Worcestershire DPS

Live

Framework Description

Worcestershire County Council and NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board run this Dynamic Purchasing System to buy Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) supported living services across both counties. It is for people whose behaviour challenges services and who need skilled support to live independently and safely. The DPS runs to 30 August 2027, with an option to extend by up to two 12-month periods.

Context & Use Case

The council and the ICB use the DPS to commission supported living for people who need a PBS approach, helping them live more independently and safely in their communities. Work is awarded among admitted providers, so being on the DPS is the way into this commissioning in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Scope of Services

Supported living services that promote independence Positive Behaviour Support strategies Help with daily living and life skills Personalised support planning Ongoing assessment and review of support Access to community resources and social inclusion

Who Can Apply

CQC-registered supported living providers with trained PBS practitioners, including SMEs. As a DPS, it accepts applications while it is live, so providers can apply now to join and start receiving package opportunities.

Buyer Benefits

Commissioners can find providers with proven PBS experience, qualifications and accreditations quickly, from a list they have already checked. Admitting new providers over time widens choice, and a single route shared by the council and the ICB means providers meet one set of standards for both commissioners.

Next Steps

Read the Find a Tender notice (013170-2024) for the selection criteria and the portal used for applications. Prepare your CQC rating, PBS training records, examples of reduced restrictive practice and outcomes for people supported. Apply before 30 August 2027, or within any extension, and then respond quickly to package invitations.

How Athena Can Help

Athena can prepare and check your DPS application through our DPS registration help, setting out your PBS evidence and outcomes clearly.

When packages are competed, our bid writing support helps you show how your team would support each person, and our help with care tenders covers bid/no-bid decisions for packages that may stretch your staffing. We can also help you present social value and added value in a way that joint health and council commissioners will score.
