Occupational Health, Employee Assistance Programme and Associated Health and Wellbeing Services - 1300

Live

Framework Description

YPO's Occupational Health, Employee Assistance Programme and Associated Health and Wellbeing Services framework (1300) is the third iteration of this national framework, run with the London Borough of Islington under the Procurement Act 2023. It is structured across eight regions and covers occupational health, EAPs, wellbeing training, flu vaccination and student assistance. It runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2034, with re-opening periods planned in years two and five.

Context & Use Case

Councils, NHS trusts, universities and other public bodies use 1300 to support staff health, manage absence and protect productivity, from occupational health referrals to counselling services and annual flu programmes. Universities can also buy student assistance programmes. Buyers choose between competitive selection and direct award, working through the regional lot structure.

Who Can Apply

Occupational health providers, EAP specialists, wellbeing trainers and vaccination providers with clinical expertise and regional capacity suit 1300. Providers not appointed in 2026 can apply when YPO reopens the framework in April 2028, for appointments starting on 1 October 2028, and again in April 2031.

Buyer Benefits

Sickness absence is costly, and buyers want clinically competent providers who can respond in their region. Regional lots let local and specialist providers sit alongside national ones, and the choice of competitive selection or direct award gives buyers a quick route for simple needs and a competitive one for larger contracts.

Next Steps

If appointed, prepare for call-offs in your regions with clinical governance, response time and outcome data. If not, read YPO's page (https://www.ypo.co.uk/frameworks-home/900694) and plan for the April 2028 reopening: choose regions and service lots, check clinical registrations and insurance, and prepare case studies from public sector contracts.
