Framework Description
YPO's Cloud Services, AI, Data Centre Management and Transformation Solutions framework (reference 1126) covers cloud hosting and support, cloud and hybrid transformation, and data centre design, build, maintenance and colocation. It works with fully cloud, on-premises and hybrid models. The framework, which is closed to new applications, runs until 10 January 2028, with an option to extend by 24 months. This framework is used by YPO and NEPO.
Context & Use Case
Councils, NHS bodies, universities and other public organisations use it to move workloads to the cloud, upgrade or build data centres, or find colocation space. A buyer might call off hosting and managed support for an existing system, or appoint a partner to plan and deliver a full migration.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Cloud hosting services Lot 2: Cloud support services Lot 3: Cloud and hybrid transformation solutions Lot 4: Data centre solutions, including design and build Lot 5: Data centre maintenance and support Lot 6: Colocation services
Lots
Lot 1 - Cloud Hosting Services; Lot 2 - Cloud Support Services; Lot 3 - Cloud and Hybrid Transformation Solutions; Lot 4 - Data Centre Solutions including Design and Build; Lot 5 - Data Centre Maintenance and Support; Lot 6 - Colocation Services
Who Can Apply
Cloud hosting providers, managed service providers, transformation consultancies, data centre builders and maintainers, and colocation operators. Applications for it are closed, so there is no mid-term entry. The re-tender is likely around 10 January 2028, or up to two years later if YPO uses the extension.
Buyer Benefits
One agreement covers everything from hosting to data centre build, so buyers can mix cloud, on-premises and colocation without a separate tender for each. The lots help buyers find specialists for each part of the work, and supplier security and financial standing have already been checked.
Next Steps
Suppliers on 1126 should prepare reusable evidence for call-offs, such as security accreditations, migration case studies and service levels. Others should watch YPO's framework pages during 2027 for the replacement, and gather ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and public sector references now.
How Athena Can Help
For providers on the framework, Athena's bid team for technology tenders writes call-off responses, models your likely score against rival providers and checks the pricing schedule before submission.
If you are not on 1126, our IT framework entry planning finds cloud and data centre routes you could join sooner, with a 6 to 12 month plan. Our bid/no-bid and bid planning gets you ready for the 2028 re-tender, so case studies and accreditations are in place early.
