Framework Description
YPO's Fitted Furniture, Libraries, Residential and Outdoor Furniture framework (reference 1244) covers the supply, delivery and installation of fitted furniture (including laboratory and IT), library and learning spaces, residential care and domestic furniture, outdoor furniture and dining furniture. It replaced framework 1019. Its two plus one plus one year term is fully used, so 1 March 2029 is the final end date.
Context & Use Case
Schools use it for fitted classrooms, science labs, IT suites, libraries and dining halls. Care providers and housing bodies use the residential lots to furnish bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms. Councils use the outdoor lot for benches, shelters and bike storage.

Who Can Apply
Furniture manufacturers, fit-out contractors, library specialists, and care, domestic and outdoor furniture suppliers. Applications are closed, so suppliers not appointed cannot join it. With no extensions left, the re-tender should come before 1 March 2029.
Buyer Benefits
One framework covers furniture for almost every public setting, from labs to care home lounges, so buyers furnishing mixed sites deal with a single route. Including delivery and installation saves buyers arranging fitting separately, and lots by setting help them reach suppliers who know that type of furniture.
Next Steps
Suppliers on 1244 should prepare design proposals, product test certificates and installation programmes for call-offs. Others should expect a re-tender during 2028 and prepare by lot: case studies, fire and durability test certificates, care sector standards for residential furniture, and sustainability evidence.
How Athena Can Help
For suppliers on the framework, Athena's call-off bid support helps you present design, installation and aftercare well, with pricing modelled to compete.
For suppliers planning for the next round, our bid strategy for furniture suppliers chooses lots based on your evidence and the likely competition. Our framework registration help covers other furniture routes open before the 2029 re-tender, so you can build a public sector track record first. Fire and durability certificates are checked lot by lot before anything is submitted.
