Framework Description
YPO's Grounds Maintenance Services DPS (reference 881) is a Dynamic Purchasing System for core and non-core grounds maintenance. Its four lots cover general grounds maintenance, winter services, specialist services and multiple grounds services combined. It closes for good on 23 February 2029. New contractors can be admitted at any time while it is open.
Context & Use Case
Schools, academies, councils, housing providers and hospitals use it to keep grounds safe and tidy through the year. Typical work includes mowing and landscaping, fencing and artificial turf, gritting and snow clearance, grave digging, pest control and clearing fly-tipping and litter. Each contract is competed among suppliers admitted to the relevant lot.

Who Can Apply
Grounds maintenance contractors, landscapers, gritting and snow clearance firms, pest control providers and specialist contractors, from small local firms to large operators. Because the DPS is still open, a contractor can be admitted at any point and pick only the lots it covers.
Buyer Benefits
Schools and councils can let a grounds contract quickly, including seasonal work such as gritting that needs to be in place before winter. Separate lots let buyers use specialists for jobs like grave digging or pest control, or put all services with one contractor under Lot 4.
Next Steps
Use YPO's 881 page to submit an application. Prepare health and safety documentation, pesticide and machinery qualifications, waste carrier registration, insurance, and examples of grounds contracts for schools or councils. Apply before the autumn if you want to compete for winter gritting contracts.
