PPE Workwear, Uniform and Managed Services - 1204

Live

Framework Description

YPO's PPE Workwear, Uniform and Managed Services framework (1204) is a national framework mainly for specialist PPE, clothing and services for police and fire personnel, from flame-retardant fire kit and body armour to general uniform and laundry. It has 16 lots, is available to any eligible UK public sector organisation, and runs to 31 August 2028, with applications closed.

Context & Use Case

Fire and rescue services, police forces, ambulance services and other emergency services use 1204 to equip personnel with protective kit, uniforms and body worn video. Many lots include an optional managed service, so a force or brigade can buy the kit and have it issued, maintained and replaced for them. Laundry and decontamination lots keep protective clothing safe to reuse.

Who Can Apply

Buyer Benefits

Protective kit for firefighters and police must meet strict performance standards, and buyers cannot afford to get it wrong. Suppliers already assessed for this framework reduce that risk, and optional managed services take sizing, issue, repair and replacement off stores teams, which matters when kit must be ready for every shift.

Next Steps

Appointed suppliers should prepare for call-offs with certification, testing and managed service performance evidence. Others should check YPO's page (https://www.ypo.co.uk/frameworks-home/900665), choose the lots they would target, and build emergency services references and product certifications now, ready for a re-procurement ahead of 31 August 2028.
