Supply of PPE and Workwear - 1241

Live

Framework Description

YPO's Supply of PPE and Workwear framework (1241) is a route to workwear and PPE, including bespoke products, through seven YPO catalogue lots and a contractual further competition lot. It replaced YPO's Workwear and PPE framework (1022). It ran on a 2+1+1 term, and its end date of 19 November 2028 is the maximum, so it cannot be extended further.

Context & Use Case

Local authorities, schools and other public bodies use 1241 to equip staff, from hi-vis and tabards to gloves, footwear and disposable workwear. Standard items are ordered through the YPO catalogue, while branded or bespoke requirements, such as a council's corporate workwear, go through Lot 8 by further competition. Buyers can use YPO frameworks without membership.

Lot 1: General workwear (YPO catalogue) Lot 2: Hi-vis (YPO catalogue) Lot 3: Tabards and aprons (YPO catalogue) Lot 4: Disposable workwear (YPO catalogue) Lot 5: Gloves (YPO catalogue) Lot 6: Footwear (YPO catalogue) Lot 7: PPE (YPO catalogue) Lot 8: Contractual further competition, including bespoke products

Who Can Apply

Workwear and PPE manufacturers and distributors, including those able to supply bespoke garments, suit 1241. Applications are closed and it has no extension left, so new suppliers must wait for the re-tender, likely during 2028 ahead of 19 November 2028.

Buyer Benefits

Catalogue ordering lets a school kitchen or grounds team get gloves or hi-vis quickly with no procurement exercise, which keeps staff safe without delay. For larger branded or bespoke programmes, the further competition lot gives buyers a compliant route to price and quality competition among vetted suppliers.

Next Steps

Appointed suppliers should keep catalogue lines priced and in stock and respond to Lot 8 competitions with bespoke design and sustainability evidence. Others should note the fixed end date of 19 November 2028, check YPO's page (https://www.ypo.co.uk/frameworks-home/900679), and prepare product certifications and supply chain evidence for the re-tender.
